What are influencer marketing tools?
Influencer marketing tools are calculators, templates, and generators that remove the guesswork from the most common decisions in a creator campaign — pricing, vetting, briefing, and outreach. Most brands and creators learn these decisions the slow way: a few bad campaigns, a few underpaid (or overpaid) creators, a few brand pitches that go to spam. Free tools shortcut that learning curve.
The four tools on this page cover the full workflow. They're meant to be used together: a brand might write a brief with the Brief Generator, size the budget with the Rate Calculator, then check each creator with the Engagement Calculator before signing. A creator might check their own engagement rate, then craft outreach with the Pitch Generator.
All four are free to use forever. No login. No email capture. No paywalled results.
How to use these tools together
The tools are designed to fit a real campaign workflow. Here's how brands and creators typically chain them.
For brands running a campaign
- Step 1 — Brief: Use the Campaign Brief Generator to write a brief that creators will actually read. A clear brief includes deliverables, brand voice, content direction, FTC disclosure requirements, and timeline.
- Step 2 — Budget: Use the Rate Calculator to size your budget by platform, creator tier, content type, and usage rights. A 50K-follower TikTok creator costs differently than a 50K-follower Instagram creator. Usage rights (paid social, whitelisting, etc.) can double or triple a base rate.
- Step 3 — Vet: Use the Engagement Rate Calculator on each creator you're considering. Compare their engagement to 2025 benchmarks by tier. A nano-influencer (1K–10K) should average 4%+ ER on Instagram; a macro (500K–1M) typically lands around 1.5%.
- Step 4 — Run: Send the brief, sign contracts, pay through escrow, track results. This is the part that Jem Social handles inside one platform instead of across five tabs.
For creators landing brand deals
- Step 1 — Know your number: Run the Engagement Rate Calculator on your last 10–15 posts. Add this to your media kit. Brands will ask within their first message; have the answer ready.
- Step 2 — Know the rate: Run the Rate Calculator with your stats. Most creators undercharge by 30–50% on first pitches. Don't.
- Step 3 — Pitch: Use the Brand Pitch Email Generator for cold outreach. Reference a specific campaign the brand has run. Skip "I love your products" — every pitch says that.
- Step 4 — Follow up: The Pitch Generator includes a follow-up email. Send it 5–7 days after the first if you haven't heard back. Most brand deals come from the follow-up, not the first message.
2025 benchmarks at a glance
These are the numbers our calculators use as defaults — sourced from public 2025 reports from Collabstr, HypeAuditor, Modash, and Social Cat. Individual numbers vary widely by niche, region, and creator quality; use as starting points, not absolutes.
$0.15
Cost per conversion at Triller's recent campaign. 40 nano + micro creators, $1,500 spend, 10,000+ tracked conversions. Most brands overpay because they pick the wrong tier — not because creators are expensive.
Engagement rate benchmarks by tier (Instagram, 2025)
- Nano (1K–10K followers): 4–8% average engagement rate
- Micro (10K–100K): 2–4%
- Mid (100K–500K): 1.5–2.5%
- Macro (500K–1M): 1–1.5%
- Mega (1M+): 0.8–1.2%
TikTok engagement rates run higher across all tiers — nano creators on TikTok regularly hit 9–15% engagement. YouTube engagement is measured differently (view-through, watch time) and isn't directly comparable.
Typical content rates by tier (Instagram Reel, US, 2025)
- Nano: $100–$500 per Reel
- Micro: $500–$2,500
- Mid: $2,500–$10,000
- Macro: $10,000–$30,000
- Mega: $30,000+ (often negotiated by management)
Usage rights, exclusivity, and whitelisting can add 50–200% to the base rate. The Rate Calculator includes adjustments for all of these.
