The platform brands use to find influencers

Top influencers are usually ranked on a mix of audience size, engagement rate, content quality, consistency, and how well their audience fits a brand's target. Reach alone rarely tells the full story.

Not necessarily. The biggest influencers bring reach but often lower engagement and higher costs. Mid-tier and micro-creators frequently deliver better engagement and value for a given budget.

Search Instagram directly or use a discovery tool, then filter for influencers whose audience and content match your brand. Jem Social lets you find and evaluate Instagram influencers by audience, engagement, and fit in one place.

Follower count rarely tells the full story. Strong engagement and a well-matched audience tend to drive more value than size alone.

Top-tier influencers command the highest rates, often into the thousands per post or more, because of their reach. Whether that's worth it depends on your goal; mid-tier creators frequently offer better engagement per dollar.

Look at engagement rate relative to followers, comment quality, follower-growth patterns, and audience demographics. Sudden spikes or generic comments can signal fake followers. Discovery tools like Jem Social help flag audience-quality issues up front.

Filter by audience fit, engagement, and content style first, then narrow to a handful that match your brief and budget. Jem Social lets you apply these filters and compare influencers side by side, so shortlisting takes minutes.
